Send a check for $65 to become a member of the California Writers Club, Mendocino Coast branch, if it's between July 1st and December 31st. Please make it payable to Writers of the Mendocino Coast, and send it to Treasurer WMC, PO Box 762, Fort Bragg, CA 95437. This amount includes a $20 enrollment fee.
Send a check for $42.50 if it's between January 1st and June 30th to the same payee and address. The enrollment fee is included in this prorated payment. Thanks!
The membership year goes from July 1st through June 30th, when renewal dues will be $45. We'll provide reminders in newsletters around that time, and send e-mail messages about six weeks after that date.
If you have a dual membership in another CWC branch, the renewal fee is $25, sent to that branch. Student memberships are $20 each year.

In addition to newsletters, the website has the latest information on upcoming events, member biographies, the annual anthology, the yearly collaboration with the Artist's Co-op of Mendocino, the Ekphrasis Project, SmatchUp, and other resources for writers, like classes on the coast.

- Opportunity to list a short biographical sketch and sample of your writing up to eight pages on the website. Send it to [email protected]. If you'd like to have them included, please send your website address and attach a photo.
- Become published in the branch's annual anthology
- The 2025 anthology theme is Resilience
- Limited number of entries chosen by jury of reviewers
- Become published in the Literary Anthology, as presented by the California Writers Club's state organization
- Limited number of entries chosen by jury of reviewers
- Participate in the branch's artists/writers collaboration and show in October,
- Ekphrasis, "art describing art."
- Limited number chosen by jury
- Write the beginning page or the ending page for the branch's SmatchUp; all members invited.
