VAN DAMME STATE PARK Volunteers at the Little River Museum have collected pictures and historical accounts that augment the rich history of what ultimately became the park. Articles are 400 to 700 words and can be paired with photos or illustrations usually discovered in their database of 10,000 images. POETRY WRITING WORKSHOPS & MONTHLY POETRY OPEN MIC CANCELLED The workshops include samples of the various styles and techniques of poetry writing, displays of published works, in-session writing exercises along with readings and discussions of individual works produced during the workshops. On the second Friday of the month, 2-3:30 pm, find your hidden poet within! Workshops are free. All ages are welcome. Visit the library site for more. WMC member Donald Shephard's latest novel is now available.

WMC member Lew Mermelstein has launched his action novel, Solomon's Net: A Tale Of Madness. Based on his experiences as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ethiopia, the story compares indigenous healing arts to 1970's Western psychiatry. The reader will be drawn to the two protagonists, one American, the other Ethiopian.
