JULY 16THThe participants of Ekphrasis III met and exchanged writing
and art with members of the Artists Coop of Mendocino. * Folklorist Holly Tannen performed a song she wrote for Ekphrasis II, and another about the perils of songwriting, accompanying herself on Appalachian mountain dulcimer. * Three Ekphrasis II writers read their previous entries. The art on display matched the works of Charlie Furey, Donald Shephard, Holly Tannen, and Sharon Gilligan. Members

The Writers of the Mendocino Coast meet in the Mendocino Hotel at 6:00 pm on the third Wednesday of every month. We host speakers, workshops, open mics and other yet to be discovered events and activities (link to archive.)
