"A Workshop To Dust Out The Corners" with Karen Green We will be writing original exercises, triggering creativity and coming at writing from unusual and obtuse angles. After gaining an MA in Creative Writing from university in York, UK, Karen has been running creative writing classes for five years. She teaches at two university campuses, in the community and to patients on lockdown in a psychiatric hospital. "It is clear to me that writing is good for one's mental health, whether suffering from severe and enduring mental conditions or dealing with everyday stresses." To that end, her PhD proposal is on the benefits of writing for one's mental health, with a particular emphasis on autism. Karen was a barrister and criminal appellate attorney for 30 years.
