Ekphrasis 2023 Guidelines.
Ten writers initiate a one-page story or poem and ten responders from the Artists Coop of Mendocino create a work of art the writing inspired in them. Another ten artists create a picture, photograph, sculpture, or collage for ten writers to respond to. Like SmatchUp, the pairings are anonymous, and will be revealed on October 4 when a month-long Ekphrasis exhibit opens at the Coop gallery. Signups are limited to 10 initiators and 10 responders. Sig-ups begin on June 1 and end on midnight June 18. Please sign up early. These spots go fast and you don’t want to be disappointed.
