"Oh-My" by Patty Joslyn
I named the new kitten
the moment I saw it~
Oh-My
had no clue it would knead its way
into my heart
before it was handed to me
tourmaline eyes
striped ginger coat
velvet paws tapping to be let loose
had no thought
Oh-My
would grow
to love
art
(like me)
splash bright bold strokes
on stark white paper
walk away mewing for milk
and love
a creature
descended from wilder
ways and ones
leaving a mark

held in veins and blood no reason no rhyme from earlier time we become who we are who we will be from the moment we are held to the light makes no difference how many feet we walk on |
